Renita Greener, a singer-songwriter currently  based in Toronto, Canada, began recording her first songs in June 2017.

The first song Renita recorded was "Keep You Here." Renita wrote this song for her youngest daughter who at 20 months of age had a life threatening illness that almost took her life. This illness changed the course and direction of Renita's life forever. The song describes the traumatic event and battle for survival.  The cry out to God to save her daughter is evident in the very real and gut wrenching lyrics of the song. The end of the song is the answer to prayer in the healing and restoration of her daughter. The miracle.

Renita's second song written and recorded was "Hold On." This song was written as a reflection of her youth growing up in her small town in Nova Scotia with dreams of singing and being called to something bigger than where she was. The songs lyrics reflect the feeling of the call on her life that was far beyond her understanding and where she was and trying to hold on to that dream. Renita vividly remembers leaving her family, her hometown and all she knew behind as she boarded a train to Toronto. This moment is beautifully captured in the songs lyrics. "Hold On" reflects on looking forward to the call and not back. It is a song of both loss and promise in the pursuit of a dream.

Renita's song "I Will Wait" was written as a prayer to God. The song is based on Psalm 37 one of Renita's favourite Psalms. The songs lyrics are about the struggle of life, letting go of anger, putting hope in God and waiting.  As Renita pondered the verses of Psalm 37, one can clearly see the words of this beautiful Psalm in "I Will Wait." This song is about giving situations we don't understand to God, trusting him, hoping in him and waiting patiently for him. Truly believing God holds the hand of those who fall down, Renita hopes that the message of "I Will Wait" will renew faith for people who wait with hope for the Lord.

Renita looks forward to continue in the recording studio with plans to release an Album in 2018.
